Daniels had 4 solo tackles and 4 assisted. He intercepted the quarterback 2 times with 7 yards of return. He matched his career high in tackles from two weeks ago.

Special Teams Player of the Week
Brian Goff, Benedictine

Goff was 2 for 3 on field goals, making them from 26 and 38 yards. He was 2 for 2 on extra points. He had 11 punts, with 3 inside the 20. Brian kicked a field goal with 0.8 left on the clock at the end of the half and hit a 38-yard kick to end the game in the second OT.

Meier had 4 catches for 76 yards and 2 touchdowns. Meier got CUC started with 20-yard reception on first play from scrimmage, later catching a 7-yd. pass for game’s first score. His second TD reception was good for 30 yards and 21-0 lead. He also had 16-yd. punt return.

Pat Daniels, Benedictine

Daniels had 2 solo tackles and 2 assisted. He intercepted the quarterback 2 times with 7 yards of return and defended 2 passes. His 2 4th quarter interceptions sealed Benedictine’s win versus Greenville.

Special Teams Player of the Week
Billy Hughes, Lakeland

Hughes punted 4 times for 185 yards. His average per punt was 46.2, with a long of 60 yards. He had 1 punt fall inside the 20-yard line.



Week 5

Offensive Player of the Week
Nick Lindsey, Eureka

Lindsey had 19 rushing attempts for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns.  He was 19 of 32 for 208 yards and 1 touchdown. He scored on 10 and 17 yard runs in the 1st half.  He threw the game-winning TD pass with 5:23 to go. He also ran for a 2-point conversion.

Dave Gesiakowski, Aurora

Gesiakowski had 3 solo tackles and 4 assisted tackles. He helped lead the Spartan defensive effort that limited Greenville to 153 total yards on the day and forced 3 turnovers, including one by himself (forced and recovered).

Matt Knake, Eureka

Knake had 5 solo tackles and 4 assisted, with 3.5 for a loss of -6. He had 0.5 sacks for -2 yards. He had 1 interception at 7:35 remaining to set up game-winning drive.

Max McDonald, Concordia WI

McDonald had 4 solo tackles and 1 tackle for loss.  He also sacked the Eureka quarterback 4 times for -34 yards.

Special Teams Player of the Week
Sean Saglin, Aurora

Saglin returned 3 punts for 60 yards, with an average 20 yards per return.  He had a fantastic day returning punts for AU, including a 43-yard return that set up the AU offense at the MacMurray four-yard line.

Zach McDade, Eureka

McDade rushed 7 times for 10 yards and 1 touchdown.  He caught 4 balls for 63 yards and 1 touchdown.  His receiving touchdown came from a tipped 32 yard pass.

Defensive Player of the Week
Justin Grant, Greenville

Grand had 5 solo tackles and 3 assisted.  He had 3.5 tackles for loss, resulting in -26 yards for the opposing team.  He had 2 sacks for -17 yards.

Special Teams Player of the Week
Billy Hughes, Lakeland

Hughes punted 8 times for 308 yards.  He averaged 38.5 yards per punt with a long of 47.  He had 1 punt downed inside the 20.

Offensive Player of the Week
Ryan Schwartz, Benedictine

Schwartz had 39 rushing attempts, resulting in 204 yards of offense and 2 touchdowns.  He scored both TDs in a 14-0 win over North Park.

Dominic Kegel, Greenville
Kegel had 17 rushing attempts for 106 yards and 2 TDs.  He went 14-21 passing for 140 yards and 3 TDs.  Overall, he accounted for 5 touchdowns.

Defensive Player of the Week
Steve Malok, Concordia IL

Malok had 5 solo tackles and 8 assisted tackles.  He caused 1 fumble and had 2 sacks for -12 yards.
Special Teams Player of the Week
MacArthur White, Lakeland

White returned 5 kick offs for a total of 199 yards.  His average return was 23.8 and his long for the contest was 58 yards.

Khyree Copeland, Concordia IL

Copeland had 18 rushing attempts, resulting in 139 yards of offense and 1 touchdown.  He also caught 4 balls for 86 yards, for a total 225 yard contribution to CUC’s win.

Mike Budzinski, Aurora

Budzinski had 7 solo tackles and 8 assisted tackles.  He made 1 interception and 1 defended pass.

Special Teams Player of the Week
MacArthur White, Lakeland
